Free SEO Checklist to Help Your Website Show up on Google
Hey!
This is a free resource I created for you to improve the SEO of your website. Improving your SEO will make your business show up higher in search results when potential leads are trying to find you online.
This checklist includes some easy tasks that you can do yourself pretty quickly. There are also some higher time-commitment tasks that will reap great rewards. Please reach out and schedule a free 15-minute call with me if you’d like to discuss what I can do for you. Money invested in SEO is money well spent for your business!
Highest Priority:
Improve mobile load time for your website. Try to get it down to 2 seconds or better. Around 50% of your customers will access your website on their phones. You can check your mobile load time on ubersuggest.com.
How to improve mobile load time
Wherever you can increase your word count, try to bump it up (1500 words is the goal for each page).
Register your physical location with Google.
Share Google Analytics account access or share a report with me.
Next on the list:
Rewrite website copy to include keywords.
Put helpful summaries with keywords in the meta descriptions and alt text.
Use H1s (at least one per page).
If focusing on location-based services, include keywords with cities you’re willing to work in.
Format URL slugs to be SEO-friendly.
Add a FAQs page - don’t be afraid to ask about cost, production questions, satisfaction guarantee, refund questions, and other common questions. This is also a great place to add more keywords in the form of questions and answers.
How to start showing up on Google:
Add a blog. Use as a way to provide long answers to questions and provide valuable content related to the interests of your audience. It can be SEO gold! At least 1200 words each including several long-tail keywords (with some in the H1 and H2 headings). Post at least 2x a month, but preferably 4x a month to see amazing growth in SEO.
Send out an email sequence (3-5 emails) creating a sales funnel.
Rewrite the website copy to include keywords. Nail down 3-5 keywords to sprinkle throughout your website (I can help you narrow them down — it depends on your goals).
Try to get backlinks.
I can take all this off your plate, and you can sit back and watch your Google ranking climb! Let’s talk about what we can accomplish together.
